Warrant Deputies Arrest Man Suspected of Armed Robbery

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Wednesday of Shawn Owen-Sellers on an Armed Robbery warrant obtained by County Police District V detectives on July 25, 2012.

According to the warrant, Owen-Sellers, with the assistance of several additional suspects, robbed eight victims of nearly $2000.00 worth of their personal property as they left a party in the 12000 block of Green Tee Turn, in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Deputies investigating Owen-Sellers’ whereabouts were led to a residence in the 6100 block of Ivey Ridge Ct. in Upper Marlboro, MD, where they observed the suspect through a window. After gaining entry into the residence, deputies were able to apprehend him without incident.

District V detectives were notified of Owen-Sellers’ arrest, and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is charged with eight counts of First Degree Assault, eight counts of Armed Robbery and Use of a Firearm during a Violent Crime.
